The Algoma Transfer is downbound from Lake Huron at Point Edward on Canada Day 2011.The Algoma Transfer was built by joining the stern section of Canadian Explorer (engine room, machinery) with the bow and mid-body of the WWII-era laker Hamilton Transfer in 1998 at Port Weller Dry Docks.She spent the 2012 and 2013 seasons tied up in Goderich. Things don't look promising for her.
