Late in the season sees the Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin downbound on the Detroit River at Windsor. The vessel is named for the father of a former Canadian Prime Minister.

She was built at the Collingwood Shipyards in 1973 and named the H.M. Griffith. In 2000, the ship was rebuilt at Port Weller using the stern section of the Griffith while a new bow and cargo section were added. She was renamed the Rt. Hon. Paul J. Martin.
