These 'foreign' ships are interesting to me - while not a classic lakeboat - they often have interesting liveries. Now, I'm not sure how foreign this thing really is because it appears to be owned/operated by a Canadian forest company! She's heading back to Montreal and should be there around May 2'nd. I photographed it upbound at Sarnia/Port Huron. I'm glad shipping season is back in action - it was a very productive visit to Sarnia over easter weekend. 
Details on Wigeon (in Metric) note the flag noted on the canfor website differs from AIS.

Is this a foreign (salty) or is this a retrofit now captive in the great lakes area? Seems to be 'lakes fitted' per above website??

    A salty for sure, foreign flagged and foreign crewed. Probably went to Thunder Bay for grain and will top off in Montreal or another St. Lawrence River port.
